Share collection

You can share items that you store in Yard Tower with everyone. You do this simply by sharing a view.

When you share a view with items from Yard Tower, you can determine yourself which people are allowed to view it.

Step 1: Find the view you want to share

1. Go to Collection.
2. Open the view you want to share.
3. Click Share.

Step 2: Choose who you want to share with

1. Click Add person
2. Enter the email address with which you want to share the view.
3. Click Send invitation

An email with an invitation will now be sent to the specified email address.

Sharing a view with people

• You can share up to 25 views. Each view can be shared with 100 people.
• People with whom you have shared a view may only view it. Editing the view and the items that are in the view is not possible for these people.

Access to information

People with whom you have shared a view see all items and information exactly the same as you see them in the view. You can hide information by hiding columns of a view.

• Important: For an item, the image, name, manufacturer, scale and article number are always visible when the grid layout is used.
• People with whom you have shared the view have the ability to switch between grid and table layout.
• People with whom you have shared a view may only view it. They have no right to edit or delete your view and items.

Stop sharing a view

After you have shared a view, you can always stop sharing it.

1. Go to Collection.
2. Open the view you want to share → Share.
3. Click Revoke access for the person with whom you want to stop sharing.

Delete a shared view

If you delete a shared view of which you are the owner, then people with whom you have shared this view will lose access to this view and associated items.
