QR-codes
Every item in Yard Tower has its own link (URL). You can print QR codes and stick them, for example, on the box of your model train.
By scanning the QR code with your smartphone, you can quickly view the item’s information.
On this page, you’ll learn how to easily print QR codes.
Step 1: export a view
Section titled “Step 1: export a view”- Create a new view with the name QR codes.
- Make sure the table layout is active.
- Under Columns, select only Permalink and Name (place them in this order).
Step 2: download and open in Excel
Section titled “Step 2: download and open in Excel”- Click the Download button and select Microsoft Excel (.xlsx).
- Open the file in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Step 3: edit the spreadsheet
Section titled “Step 3: edit the spreadsheet”Select cell C3 and add this formula:
=IMAGE("https://api.qrserver.com/v1/create-qr-code/?size=100x100&qzone=2&data="&ENCODEURL(A3))A QR code is now automatically generated in the C column. Copy the formulae to the cells below.
By selecting all rows and adjusting the height, you can make the QR code larger.
Step 4: print and stick
Section titled “Step 4: print and stick”You can now print the QR codes. Cut out the QR codes and stick them on the boxes of your model trains.
By scanning the QR code with your smartphone, you can quickly view the item’s information.

Is it safe?
Section titled “Is it safe?”Yes, QR codes are safe. Before you can see your item’s information, you must first log in.
